I worked at SunGard Energy Systems full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

SunGard Energy Systems was a great company to work for. The stance on business and its ideology was seen from the top down. The Executive team led by example and had an open door policy. Everyone knew their role but worked to help all other roles and departments function to the best of their ability. They believed in cross functionality to ensure that although a person may not be a subject matter expert in other departments, they would at the minimum be able to help in basic ways or point to another team member that could assist more if needed. Their desire to ensure continued education in all their employees was definitely a plus and it didn't matter if it was in regards to your role. They believed any education was positive education.

    Cons

The Executive team had changed a little to often after the President, I was hired under retired. It seemed like each new one that came in, couldn't find the right fit for them regarding how to manage the business regarding the path or direction of the company.

    Interview

CV, covering letter and application form followed by numerical and logic tests. One to one interview with consultant followed by assessment centre with case study and group exercise. Case study involves processing a lot of information quickly followed by a 10 minute presentation. It's important to manage your time and work quickly. In the group exercise think about the end result and detail exactly how it will be achieved.
