I worked at SunPower full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

SunPower CEO, Tom Werner is a great communicator & visionary. The company is full of talented people who share the same vision. He drives hard, is very smart and cares about the employees.

    Cons

The market is extremely volatile and is affected by whimsical policy decisions of major global players in the market (Germany, China, US, etc.). The nature of over/under supply in the market makes consistent company performance (which wall street needs) problematic.

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at SunPower.

    Interview

There are 3-4 rounds of phone screens, which mainly discuss about relevant previous experience in the solar industry, which they put of their attention on. After that candidate will be given a case to do some analysis and present the result to the management. Eventually there will be an onsite final round interview.

How Solar Energy Net Metering Works | SunPower Solar Blog

People who are new to how residential solar power works often ask these two questions: What happens when my solar panels generate more electricity than I use during daylight hours? How do I power my home when the sun isn't shining?
