For seniors who have no need for complex medical supervision or 24-hour supervised care, yet can no longer live alone. This is how we define assisted living: Sunrise Senior Living Assisted Living is the ideal solution for seniors who value their independence, yet need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. We focus on individual wellness, and encourage continued independence with a tailored plan of assistance provided by well-trained team members available 24 hours a day.
Memory care neighborhoods are specially designed, safe and stimulating environment to care for those with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other forms of memory loss.
On-call assistance with a maintenance-free, service-rich environment.
Skilled nurses provide on-site, quality clinical care.

Heather joined the Human Resources team at Sunrise Senior Living in 2003. I have been working at Sunrise Senior Living full-time (More than 3 years)
Helpful, understanding, happy. The staff is kind and lively. Everyone enjoys being at work everyday. The management is welcoming. They provide wonderful training programs
New programs that are confusing to learn. I don't have much else to say because I have had such a wonderful experience with this company
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Sunrise Senior Living (Plainview, NY).
Applied online and was invited to attend an interview (good). Lots of residents were sitting quietly in wheelchairs in the lobby (bad sign). No one was present at the reception desk or approached me (not good), so I had to find a member of staff who escorted me into a room where I waited for the interviewer who was 15 minutes late (red flag) and just asked me to tell her about myself.
No specific questions asked about my background, nor was any tour of the facility provided (another red flag). Since no salary was mentioned (very bad), I enquired at the end my 'interview', she said that she couldn't give me an answer, but invited me back for a second interview.
A few days later, I called before the 2nd interview and enquired about the salary. When told me that they couldn't discuss it over the phone and I postponed the interview. About an hour later, I received a rejection email, so no 2nd interview (Good!) :-)
