I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SupplyPike (Rogers, AR) in Nov 2022
Interview
The most thorough, confusing, and misleading interview process I've ever participated in. Overall, it took about a month. The first call was with the recruiter, where salary expectations and general career path was discussed. From there, it moved to a 40-minute personality assessment. Once the assessment was completed, I had to prepare a presentation to be delivered to a panel of 5 based on a specific scenario. This took about 2 hours to prepare the content/demo presentation, and the call was about an hour and a half of getting lots of questions and feedback after from the panel of 5. The point, I think, was to get an idea of the seller's style and how they present information. Lastly was the culture fit. This was a 2-day in-person interview with 6.5 hours of back to back interviews with the entire executive staff. There was no prior warning (other than the night before) of who I was meeting with and most interviewers came with no questions. Despite receiving positive feedback and remarks throughout the entire process, the team came back with an offer that was 25% less than what was initially discussed. This felt a bit insulting, but mostly I was confused as to what changed from the first call to now. After pushing back and being told "this is the max budget", I felt terribly misled and lost a ton of trust in the team. It doesn't seem that the left knows what the right is doing. It felt very frustrating to invest hours upon hours in preparation, interviews, and travel only to be met with a significantly less offer. Although I wish the team well, I'd highly suggest creating a more seamless interview process and to not lie to candidates about compensation. Poor communication and inexperience seem to run rampant here.1. What are you looking for in your next career? 2. How do you plant to maintain the culture when you work remote? 3. What excites you about this opportunity?
