I worked at Surgery Partners full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will always have work. The main Corp office works with you and finds ways to help you in whatever your needs as an employee are in order for you to excel.

    Cons

Management in satellite offices is the silent killer for this company. They hire non-certified medical assistants and pay them equal or more than a certified MA because they’re friends with the office lead or management. Then expect the licensed MA to pick of all the slack of the non trained staff members.

    Advice to Management

Everyone working in the back office should be a certified medical assistant. There is no fairness when many of us have to pay and keep up with our CE and CPR to work and others don’t but hold the same title. Stop hiring young girls who are having affairs with physicians to get promotions to get promoted. Many workers are excellent workers and your losing them because of the unfairness going on behind closed doors. Some employees are scared of speaking up because they are afraid of getting fired. Fix this!! The company it self is great but the individual managements in the facilities are HORRIBLE!!

    Interview

Was contacted by email over the weekend to set up a phone interview two days later. Spoke with two ladies on the phone over a speaker phone on their end, which made it extremely difficult to hear and understand them. They advised they would call me back within two days to set up a face to face interview and I never heard from them again. A simple email telling me I was no longer being considered would have been nice. I suspect it was because I asked for what they felt was too much money (I heard the interview actually gasp at my minimum, which is funny because it is on par with entry level for the area, so there it is).
