We are committed to ...
I have been working at Swedish Covenant full-time (More than 3 years)
Working with hospital staff and laboratory technicians is great.
Everyone is very friendly and tries to be helpful.
Lots of opportunities to interact with nurses and some doctors.
Hard to request days off. Requests get denied often.
Scheduling conflicts happen often.
co-workers often call off or are no shows. It puts more work and stress on the employees that do show up and work.
NO OVERTIME ALLOTTED. Manager constantly dips into PTO hours, without proper notification.
Weak upper management skills. Upper management is constantly shouting/yelling at employees, saying rude comments, or be dismissive entirely to all staff members.
VERY DIFFICULT to move up in this position. considers a promotion after a minimum of 3 years.
Advice to Management
hire more reliable people who show up to work.
appreciate employees more, give more positive feedback.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Swedish Covenant.
I was called by the manager of my unit before Human Resources was even aware that I applied. Human Resources is EXTREMELY disorganized and they do not give priority to inside employers.
Interview at least went ok
