I have been working at Swiss Re full-time (More than 10 years)
A professional company, top of class. Good benefits, facilities and staff events, supports charity of the year, has a sports and social club. Also promotes personal development and growth and there's many career opportunities within the organisation if you're happy to travel. New office spaces promotes collaboration and flexible working which is nice.
Global company, has a matrix/model. Often slow to implement and manage change due to complexity. Zurich centralised which can mean longer working hours to fit their hours, no overtime is paid to UK employees which can cause a challenge with work and life balance.
Advice to Management
Recognise and reward global team members based outside of zürich at associate and assistant vice president level who work longer hours to fit Zurich and other regional timezones to support key strategic projects for the group.
behavioral based interview questions were not difficult. Not strong HR support for managers. It took them forever to set a time for the interview. Then HR did not get back to canidates for quite a while
