Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Pros

Great work-life balance. Transparent executive team. Hard working team with get it done attitude. Fully support each employee whether remote or in person with the tools and resources they need. Great

Cons

Some growing pains as we scale and transition to more Enterprise level systems, but nothing out of the norm of what should be expected when making that transition.

    I applied online. I interviewed at Swyft Filings (United States)

    Interview

    The whole process took 3 weeks. I was blindsided by a phone screening that, though went well was unexpected. Following call with manager went very well, however, I had to follow up with HR on the next steps. The final interview with the director of marketing was terrible. He drilled me on SEO algorithm updates that were over 13 years old, made me do math calculations off the top of my head, and then completely ghosted me. I've never felt like a dog doing pony tricks more in my whole life, very dehumanizing.
