Symantec Women's Action Network (SWAN)

SWAN is a networking forum for the women and men at Symantec intended to help support and encourage female employees achieve their potential. SWAN accomplishes this by building a positive work environment, supporting women to become more visible leaders, creating and providing access to best practices, peer mentoring and capability building. By focusing on growth, learning and networking, SWAN enhances Symantec's reputation as a great place to work for women. 

PRIDE

Pride engages in activities designed to promote equality, cultural sensitivity, and social networking for Symantec employees. Pride strives to help make Symantec a great place to work by fostering LGBT awareness and learning, improving our cultural competence, and engaging employees.  

Symantec Black Employee Resource Group (SyBer)

SyBER's mission is to create, develop and maintain a dynamic environment whereby black employees can cultivate and grow their professional careers in alignment with Symantec's Core Values, thereby positively enhancing Symantec's ability to win in the market place. 

Hispanic Outreach & Leadership Affinity Group (HOLA)

The Symantec Hispanic Outreach, Leadership & Advancement (HOLA) employee resource group is a forum for Symantec employees to support the recruiting, retention, and advancement for Hispanic professionals.  

Symantec New & Aspiring Professionals (SNAP)

SNAP's mission is to provide a forum for Symantec employees to support new recruiting, retention, and advancement of young professionals. We will accomplish this by identifying new sources to recruit from and creating an enviroment that will promote Symantec as an employer of choice for young professionals.

Symantec Veteran Employees and Troop Support (VETS)

    Best place I've worked, if you can live with unpredictable nature of the tech industry. Great benefits, great working environment, excellent diversity, volunteerism and matching funds. I learned a great deal and loved every moment.

    I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Symantec (Mountain View, CA) in June 2013.

    first hiring manager give me a phone screen with questions on basic Java Programming skills, after a couple days, invited me onsite and did 3 - 4 round in-person interviews. asked questions about the work experience and architect design , Algorithm Design and Data Structure Design..and with Spring Framework techs. and after around 1 week , got the final decision.
