    Every single department is going through some sort of change. While the changes seem to be very positive and often necessary (innovation, shifting business model, developing a culture of learning, reaffirming commitment to diversity and inclusion) it can often be challenging/stressful to keep up.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest and get support! Employees and management are continually challenged to keep up with all this change. We need to focus on supporting each other and being honest with how hard it is to face so many changes at once. Let’s equip our managers and all our employees with the tools to carry on through these necessary changes.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Symetra (Bellevue, WA) in February 2020.


    Applied online. Had initial phone interview with an actuary. Invited for an on-site interview (four 30 minute interview with two actuaries at a time). Mostly going over resume and some behavioral questions. They wanted to know how comfortable I was with excel.
