Corporate Charitable Giving Campaigns

Syniverse employees in the United States vote on an annual basis to choose which corporate charities we will support as a company. In 2014, Syniverse employees and the Syniverse corporate match provided charities with a combined contribution totaling more than $163,000. The six charities Syniverse is supporting in 2015 include the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Humane Society, Metropolitan Ministries and United Way. Additionally, Syniverse was recognized in 2014 as a United Way Most Generous Workplace.

Employee Initiatives

Each year, Syniverse employees around the globe contribute many hours of their own time along with thousands of dollars to better their local communities. Among the many initiatives Syniverse employees have organized are fundraisers to support victims of tornadoes and floods in the southern U.S., the 2011 Japan earthquake, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

    Pros

    - Company is transitioning into a modern, more developer driven company and focusing more on technology innovation
    - executive leadership is becoming more forward-thinking cultivating innovation
    - Competitive salaries, compensation package
    - lots of transparency around bonuses
    - great company culture: people are genuinely nice, and company supports a variety of culture and team building events such as quarterly company-wide luncheons, monthly dessert and ice cream socials, field days, company outings, and tons of extra-curricular events such as fishing trips, golf outings, sports events, cultural events, and more
    - fantastic support for charitable giving events all through the year
    - flexible work schedules
    - great paid time off benefits
    - on site health clinic
    - supports healthy lifestyles with on site showers and locker rooms, use of gym nearby for modest monthly fee
    - covered, secure bicycle parking
    - global company means you work with people from all over the world

    Cons

    - lots of growing pains due to transition to more modern architectures and software methodologies
    - when lay offs happen due to structural changes, too much of an information vacuum
    - not enough opportunities for regular interaction with executive leadership

    - figure out how to be out and about, on site, interacting with your staff on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
    - keep making improvements and moving toward a more product- and developer-driven company
