Syska Hennessy Group is the leading global, full-service MEP, information and communication technology (ICT) and commissioning engineer for the government and commercial sectors. With more than 500 professionals across 16 offices, we provide a full range of engineering services for projects of every size and budget: from global headquarters to small office renovations; from the premier healthcare facilities to essential mission critical facilities.
We’ve been at the forefront of innovation since the firm was founded by John Hennessy and Adolf Syska in 1928 to design complex, mechanical and electrical systems at the heart of iconic structures. Whether it’s GSA’s super-efficient Los Angeles Federal Courthouse in Los Angeles or one of the world’s tallest mixed-use structures, Lotte World Tower, in Seoul, South Korea, we are the preferred partner for clients who want to create exceptional, smart and sustainable high-performing buildings.
We are excited about the future. Our energy and simulation modeling enable clients to predict design implications across entire project life cycles and pursue carbon neutral buildings. By integrating essential systems—lighting, power, audiovisual, security, wireless and the core network—we are designing smarter buildings to improve the quality of the environment for occupants as well as reduce operating costs and environmental impact. We’re adept at design-build and alternate delivery solutions, including P3 and lean construction.
Above all, we build long-term relationships with our clients—some of whom we have partnered with for more than five decades—and attract the industry’s best talent through a learning, diverse and collaborative culture.
We are Syska.
In 1928, two young engineers came together, combining their abilities and aspirations to create a collaborative environment that would lay the foundation for the Syska Hennessy Group.
Since that time, Syska has been at the forefront of the industry, shaping the mechanical and electrical systems of the 21st century. Employees embrace ownership of each project, bringing quality, innovation and integrity into each client relationship.
Nurturing the above core values has made Syska one of world’s leading engineering firms with more than 500 professionals across 16 offices. This coupled with the diversification of Syska’s services into both consulting and technology truly provides a unique place to cultivate your career and future.

Advice to Management
Sometimes comes across to only care about status of the office and not about the people who do the work. There should have been more involvement from the team on the office relocation.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Syska Hennessy (San Francisco, CA).
Very awkward group of people with unwelcoming and cramped office in SF. They are very disorganized and I tried to give them a second chance, but no expectations were met. They asked me very few questions (maybe 2-3) and instead rambled painfully slow about themselves and random Syska qualities like their lunch hour. Recruiters were uncomfortable and uninterested.
