Systems Personnel has truly embraced the 'golden rule' of treating others as you would like to be treated in business. Whether you are an executive, hiring manager, HR manager or a candidate, you will be pleased with the assiduous effort this company will put forth to satisfy your needs. Their mission is to improve the lives of their clients, candidates and employees. The opportunity to work with the team at Systems Personnel was certainly a growing experience and one I have taken several life lessons from. I encourage anyone looking for an opportunity grow with a company that will surpass your financial and cultural expectations, to persue a career as a recruiter for Systems Personnel.


    The position of a technical recruiter is extremely complex. If you don't have prior recruiting or IT experience it creates a very large learning curve. Systems Personnel has an 'on the job' training culture. The senior management is first responsible for the profitability their own desk, while being tasked with training a new jr recruiter. Expectations are measured through what is considered an '8' month training phase. Monthly reviews are conducted, productivity and profitability metrics are measured immediately to ensure your success. In your first few months, you must learn not only the complex position that of a technical recruiter, but also the technical qualifications of your clients candidate needs. You will be expected to open up new clientele and learn the new business development aspect of the business as well. Without prior IT or recruiting experience, this could be a great deal of information to obsorbe in the expected training phase time frame.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Systems Personnel (West Seneca, NY) in February 2016.


    Respond to posting, play phone tag, have a phone screening, get called in for a face to face interview. Seems the whole process was for a job that doesn't actually exist, but rather for their own exploitation of your job search for the sake of lead generation.

    Interview Questions

    • They ask all kinds of intrusive questions about who else you're talking to in your job search, which I feel is truly none of their business, but you're looking for work so you try and be as accommodating as you can. To the point that the interviewer was verifying the spelling of the company I admitted to having dialogue with. She was vague about the actual availability of the position I was interviewing for (a recruiter job w/Systems) stating that there is a debate as to whether or not the position was really needed. In hindsight, they lure you in with a phony opening with their organization only to get you to divulge where you are looking and interviewing so that they can go to those companies and pitch their services. They become unresponsive in your attempts to follow up, and another recruiter sends you postings as you are dumped into their general candidate pool shortly after. Look, people looking for a job should not be fooled into a phony interview only to get their hopes up for a job that does not exist. I find it shady and unethical.   Answer Question
