INVESTMENT APPROACH. Our approach to managing investments is rooted in fundamental research, distinguished by discipline, and carried out by experienced professionals.
Research is the lifeblood of our investment organizations
We believe that fundamental, proprietary research drives value-added, active management. To put this belief into practice, we maintain a powerful global research platform that includes interconnected teams of research analysts.
It starts with bottom-up analysis. One hundred eighty five specialized analysts across the globe focus on finding opportunities for our clients. These are bright and capable professionals, driven to find insights—both qualitative and quantitative—that support investment recommendations and, ultimately, decisions.
But what makes this platform so effective is the culture that supports it—one in which ideas are shared and debated, and knowledge is transferred across geographies and sectors. The result: Ideas translate into well-informed investment decisions.
Discipline has distinguished our approach for over seven decades
T. Rowe Price has been managing assets for clients since 1937. Through all types of market environments, we have kept our heads down, fine-tuned our process, and focused on long-term results.
Consistency is a hallmark of our investment process. By adhering to stated investment objectives and style, regardless of market conditions or fashion, we help ensure the long-term integrity of client portfolios.
We are also keenly focused on risk management. Our professionals assess risk and potential rewards at the security and portfolio level for all strategies. All portfolios are managed to provide long-term reward commensurate with risk accepted.
A seasoned investment team means continuity for our clients
There is no substitute for experience. T. Rowe Price portfolio managers have an average of 19 years' investment experience and 13 years' tenure with the firm.
Because of this individual expertise and collective experience, we are able to keep rapidly evolving markets in historical perspective. We are able to hone our investment approach through changing economic conditions. And we are able to thoughtfully focus on our ultimate goal—consistent, competitive performance for our clients.
Fixed Income Capabilities. We focus on performance and risk management, and helping you focus on your success.

We focus on producing consistent results through careful scrutiny of individual bonds and economic conditions. We strive to do the right thing. Our high ethical standards and our strong conscience drive the choices we make every day on behalf of our associates, clients, stockholders, and communities. Ultimately, success is not just about the value we create but how we create it.
We are fiduciaries, which means that, as a matter of principle, we put our clients' interests first. We seek to strengthen our clients' confidence without ever taking it for granted. We believe that when the client succeeds, the firm succeeds.
Our business requires a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement. We look for opportunities and connections across our global platform, remain thoughtful and alert, and ask the questions that can unlock value for our clients.
We leverage the wisdom of multiple perspectives from our associates around the world. Working in collaboration, our diverse, experienced associates bring insight, engage in open debate, and embrace the broad sharing of information that keeps our thinking fresh and independent.
Discipline enables us to provide durable, long-term solutions. This intellectual rigor helps us to recognize and avoid short-term fads or inappropriate business practices. It helps us to see things as they are, not as we wish they were. Being disciplined does not mean that we don’t take risks; it means that we carefully assess risks and manage them.
We are passionate about the pursuit of both client success and outstanding business results and yet are careful not to overstate our achievements. We set high standards because that's what our clients expect and what we demand of ourselves. Our continuous pursuit of excellence means that our work is never done.
Great career paths.
Good compensation if you move up.
Mandatory overtime can get old.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at T. Rowe Price (Owings Mills, MD) in March 2012.
I applied to a position in mid March and received a phone call from Human Resources about 4 days later. The phone call with the HR rep was typical, asking questions about my resume and why did I want to work for TRP. I was scheduled for an interview on campus for 2 weeks in the future. The on-campus interview lasted about two hours, and the first hour consisted of an HR presentation about TRP benefits and a tour. The second hour was a two person panel interview, and I was asked about 7 Behavioral type questions, where a STAR response was helpful. Questions were typical for this type as well. I thought my interview went okay (I'm not the best interviewee) but I made sure to maintain a smile and a high energy level. I was told I would hear something within the next week or two.
I hadn't heard anything closing on to three weeks after the interview so I reached out to HR by email, just looking for an update. A few days later, three weeks to the day, I was offered a conditional offer.
