Mission: T2 Systems was founded in 1994 with one goal: make parking better. Our focus is on our customers, which means giving you more solutions to make parking management as seamless as possible.
I worked at T2 Systems full-time (More than a year)
- Industry Leader. Anyone you talk to in parking will know T2 and know them as an industry powerhouse. People will want to work with you, integrate products with you, use your product, and get your advice on projects.
- Growth Opportunity. The parking industry has be evolving with new technologies. Top tier teams at T2 are working and succeeding at positioning T2 to take on what’s next and grow into the market
- Split Team. 40% in Indy 40% in Vancouver 20% Remote. Time zone changes and distance can make collaboration a little more difficult. T2 does a good job of working around this but still an obstacle that has to be dealt with.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T2 Systems (New York, NY) in March 2019.
Interview was set up by a recruiter, after the HR contact reviewed my resume. The interview was supposed to be with the VP of software engineering and a couple other members of IT leadership. The interview went alright, but for some reason everyone but 2 developers attended by teleconference. The interview itself wasn't too bad. I tried to be honest and ask meaningful enough questions to convey I understood the architecture and challenges of the role.
After the interview, there was radio silence for over a week, due to people being out of the office on both the HR and recruitment sides. The recruiter eventually reached out to me and told me T2 had interviewed someone that knocked their socks off.
Overall the experience wasn't too bad. It lasted about 2 weeks from initial contact with the recruiter to rejection. I don't get the feeling I ever had a real shot, though.
