TACG has been awarded a massive $20B contract supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) CIO-SP3! Doing business as E&I Solutions Joint Venture (JV), TACG and JJR Solutions will support HHS's Information Technology (IT) initiatives under 10 task areas.

Founded in 2006, TACG, LLC (TACG) is a Federally Recognized Alaskan Tribal 8(a) Certified firm focused on the public sector and aerospace industries. Despite our small business status, we consistently deliver on large-scale projects because of our broad scope of capabilities and our diverse partner network.
Our initial focus was on Air Force Materiel Command providing project and program management support and subject matter expertise. In 2009, TACG was awarded a subcontract supporting the Air Force’s Expeditionary Combat Support System providing critical functional and data related subject matter expertise. This subcontract enabled TACG to grow steadily and pursue other contract opportunities.
In 2012, Alaska Native General Services purchased a majority interest in TACG fulfilling a key objective of expanding their Air Force business and adding to their strong portfolio of subsidiary companies. As a result of this acquisition, TACG was accepted into the Small Business Administration’s development program and was awarded Tribal 8(a) status in October 2013.
We have added the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the US Forest Service as clients. TACG has grown from 20 employees to more than 100 employees. We have staff in 15 states. Our capabilities have expanded to include information assurance, learning management system implementation, computer-based courseware development, financial and administrative management, document management, organizational change management, as well as strategic planning.
As we embark on our second decade, TACG is experiencing extraordinary company growth. In 2016 and 2017, TACG was honored to be awarded a top spot on the Inc. 5,000 list. We have received the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility for 3 years running. We are certified in ISO 9001:2015 with a scope of Provision of Consulting Services, Business Solutions and Software to Government and Commercial Organization.
With so many goals accomplished recently, TACG is a thriving workforce. We are, however, committed to continuous improvement. Brian Chaney is both President of TACG and a member of the Board of Directors. He joined the company in April 2012 after serving as Director of Enterprise Services for Copper River IT, a Certified Tribal 8(a) firm. From 2006-2009, Mr. Chaney led the process capabilities group for BTAS, Inc., also in the 8(a) program at the time.
Chief Operations Officer
Todd Vikan is the Chief Operations Officer for TACG. He joined the company in January 2009. Mr. Vikan works closely with Mr. Chaney to provide management oversight and strategic direction for TACG. As the COO, Mr. Vikan is responsible for establishing operating policies and guidance for the company. Mr. Vikan also works closely with TACG directors and project leads to ensure timely and accurate engagement execution.
TACG is committed to consistent delivery on large-scale projects without losing the touches and results only a small business can provide. Combined with our rich scope of core capabilities, our forward-thinking approach to consulting helps organizations connect existing technologies with emerging solutions to do more, with less, for less. Our corporate capabilities are broken down into four main categories: Information Technology Services, Logistics and Supply Chain Services, Financial Management Services, and Healthcare Management Services.
Community enrichment is vital to TACG. In 2012, Alaska Native General Services (ANGS) purchased a majority interest in TACG and a relationship between the Native Village of Eyak (NVE) and TACG begun. NVE is a federally recognized tribal government located on the south eastern shores of Prince William Sound in the North Gulf Coast of Alaska. TACG donated a full computer lab to the community to encourage better communication between the village and the world. NVE is governed by a five member elected Council. The Tribal Council is a tribal government that promotes self-determination to NVE tribal members. The Tribal Council seeks ways to enrich tribal living through community operated programs. Every company has up and down days. Most every day at TACG is far above average. The company treats people like humans, You never have to be concerned with discussing personal issues with the owners. Both Brian and Todd are superb in their intentions and handling of personnel and the day to day issues that can creep up in life.
Employees are made to feel like family. It is a great place to work and you do not dread being in the office. The entire office is filled with great people who are family oriented, yet still concerned with quality program management for our customers. Family and customers all receive great treatment. TACG is a rare gem.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TACG (Baltimore, MD) in December 2017.
Over the phone and then in person screening. There was first a panel, then one on one interview process. Afterwards, I was encouraged to go out for coffee with several other employees to get a feel for the team dynamic.
