I have been working at TAL Education Group full-time (Less than a year)

The training, technical, and educational support is outstanding! It is a wonderful thing to work with the students to help them understand and improve their English comprehension and pronunciation.

There really aren't any, in my opinion. Those who wish to apply need to pay close attention to training, and understand what you are committing to. Like any job, there are policies and procedures and you will do well if you follow them.

    Advice to Management

Please continue the great support of your teachers. You do an outstanding job at this and thank you for providing jobs in such an important field.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at TAL Education Group (Houston, TX) in June 2018.

This was a complete an utter joke! I'm mad at myself for allowing myself to be treated in this manner by this sub par organization. First of all, I was waiting for this interview at 5:30 pm as that was the time we were supposed to meet. I get a message from the interviewer with the same form email she's been sending me all along and I think oh well maybe that's their process. But, she's obviously online and we're a go for this interview. Right?! Wrong 5:35 rolls around, then 5:45, then 5:51 - I'm on Skype and see that her do not disturb is on. So I message her. She responds after 5 minutes and says someone else is calling me. I'm sitting at my laptop, in a blazer, waiting. Nothing then at 6:02 this person calls me. She's not read my resume, she's not familiar with my background, I don't even think she knew my name. She then says talk about your background. So I did, during which I mentioned I have a degree in communication and a degree in early childhood education - which I do. Then she says but what certifications - I was like I HAVE A DEGREE in EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. She was like hmmmm..I see. It's like they told them ask about certification as a qualifying questions, but a certification in what BECAUSE I am actively enrolled in an ALTERNATIVE TEACHING certification...soooo....but then it gets better. She tells me to start the demo class, which I had prepared for for days. And, we are one slide in and this other guy who I am certain was either drunk or high jumps into my interview and starts to pretend he's my student. Taking over for the interviewer. And SHE LET HIM. It would have been hilarious but for the enormous waste of time. So the guy goes on and I do my best to keep the interview going. Then she stops me and tells me I did great, because that was a real class. ?????????? There's more to this story y'all but I'm out of space. This was my worst interview ever. Not because of me. I'm again just mad because this was a waste of my time.
