TASER – Why Work For Us?

We are committed to making the world a safer place!

At TASER we make communities safer with innovative public safety technologies that protect life and truth. Founded in 1993, TASER first transformed law enforcement with our electrical weapons. Today, we continue to define smarter policing with our growing suite of technology solutions.

Our Product Solutions

Conducted Electrical Weapons: Our electrical weapons have become one of law enforcement's most trusted tools. That's because they're developed with abundant customer input, so we build features and functions that will help people stay safe. Our Smart Weapons are the most-researched devices we've ever produced, with features like charge metering and warning arcs (X2 only) that came straight from the costumers.

Body Worn Cameras: Los Angeles. Cleveland. Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Fort Worth. 95% of major agencies deploying body-worn cameras have chosen Axon to help them address some of the country's most pressing problems. Several thousand small and mid-size agencies have embraced our platform as well. These are critical times in law enforcement, and there is no one who takes that more seriously than us. We've learned the lessons from having deployed over 110,000 body-worn cameras and TASER CAMs, and will continue to tackle the toughest technology challenges.

Data Evidence Management: Whether collecting, transferring, managing, retrieving or sharing evidence, Evidence.com improves the process and reduces the day-to-day burden on officers. Manually ingesting digital evidence is a thing of the past. With the Axon Dock, videos from Axon cameras are automatically and securely transferred to the cloud during routine charging. For sharing, say goodbye to driving discs over to the DA. With Evidence.com, sharing entire cases is as simple as a click of a button.

Whatever your goals are, you'll have the freedom to work on projects you care about, and the support of people who will challenge you in new ways.

How We Interview

Our mission to protect life and protect truth is what drives us. It's why we work hard, and it's what differentiates us. When you come in for an interview, you can expect to talk to a diverse group of people who all share a passion for and understanding of our products. The perfect candidate isn't just the one who can write the best code or make the best sales pitch. It's the one who is just as excited about our mission as we are, and has the raw talent to help us pursue it.

When interviewing you at TASER you can expect a process similar to this once you apply:

  • Resume Review: The recruiting team and hiring manager will review your resume, and if there is a match between skill set and interest we will reach out.
  • Phone Interview: Depending on the role, you can typically expect to speak with a member of our recruiting team, and if you move forward, a member of the business team. The nature of the interview can vary and we might throw some curve balls, but you'll get ample time to show your experience, your values, and/or your skills (like coding).
  • Interview Loop: Our on-site interviews can vary in length, but expect to have a chance to see where we work, what we do, and meet with a few different people.
  • Decision/Next Steps: Once the interview loops are done, we will come together, and get back to you on the decision or any additional steps needed.

Remember, interviewing is a two-way street. This is your chance to see if TASER is the type of company you can get behind, and in order to help you make that decision we want you to be ready to ask us questions as well. We're always happy to share our experiences.

Our executive team is made up of leaders with broad business and technology experience. You will find them sitting in the same open work spaces as everyone else, always ready for new ideas.

    Inside Sales Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Phoenix, AZ
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TASER (Phoenix, AZ) in March 2016.

    Interview

Applied online - process took about two weeks. Received an email from another Engineer that would pass my application down to HR if I passed (I guess I didn't)- Everything was over the phone. Really nice and polite. In between answering my education and experience, but he would bring up a technical question. It was a lot of infrastructure questions. I'm more of a software developer.

    Interview Questions

    • Sell me our SaaS solution. Differences between IPV4 and IPV6, how would you explain a router and a switch to someone that doesn't know IT. Explain VLAN - What's the HTTP and HTTPS port. give me the positives on SaaS.   Answer Question
