I have been working at TCD Consulting full-time (Less than a year)
I had worked dead end jobs since I was a kid. I did everything: manual labor, warehouse work, waited tables, and even an amusement park. I was actually quite intimidated when I first interviewed with TCD Consulting, Inc. because I didn’t even own a suit let alone know if I could work in a professional environment. I am so glad I decided to interview with them despite being afraid. Everyone has been so helpful and I’ve made more money in one week then I would make in two whole weeks at my old job.
I thought commission was scary because I had never made it before. I wanted something “safe” and “reliable” because my parents always told me to get a job that paid a “salary” cause then you will know exactly how much you will make. All my jobs before were “hourly” so in a sense that was my “salary.” I traded hours at work for dollars in my bank account. When I hit hard times and I needed extra cash, I had to work more “hours” to try and fix that. My boss told me he didn’t have the hours to give me so I ended up having to work two jobs to make ends meet. Then one of them said they had to cut my hours instead of give me more and that’s when I found myself looking for work. When I was told that I would make a hourly wage or commission (whatever was higher) at TCD Consulting, Inc. it freaked me out, but I felt a little better since there was a “safety” net to fall back on. I also liked that I was told I would never be asked to work less or have my hours cut. I took that chance and couldn’t be happier. I have literally made more money in one week then two jobs combined for two weeks. Commission is my new best friend.
Advice to Management
I love everything. I love that you have standards. I love that you expect professionalism out of your employees. I love that you challenge us to be better. I love that you have competitions. I love that you like to have fun at work. I love the family environment. I love the no excuses mentality. I love the hours. I love the advancement structure. I love wearing a suit to work. I love that anyone in the company can talk to the president at anytime. I love that the president gives everyone his personal contact information. I love that I am personally mentored by the president. I love commission (never thought I would say that). I love my new career.

Received a call from a recruiter
Asked if I was interested
I requested a description of the role
The response I got was actually a question-"What am I looking for?"
Again I asked for some detail as to the role and I was asked "Will you work nights and weekends"
Not really sure why but the interview (and reviews I've read) were very off putting
