    Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TEMPOE (Cincinnati, OH) in January 2019.

    Interview

A TERRIBLY BROKEN INTERVIEW PROCESS -

There was pressure to disclose salary expectations during the first official phone interview.

Many red flags exist around valuing people, which was an easy scent to pick up on early in the process, but I needed to explore at that that time, so here's what else I experienced:

Follow-up was an absolute mess and failure to communicate on their part. Obtaining status updates was nearly impossible.

Despite bragging about their revenue, they are not competitive on compensation but they don't have the integrity to tell you upfront if you're too high on salary expectations.

Based on information I obtained from current employees, Tempoe seems to have a questionable re-org/layoff history. Everyone I know who works there seems uncertain about their future & weighed down by fire-fighting and sleepless nights.

I ended up running with an offer from a much more organized company that truly values people after dealing with Tempoe's interview fiasco.

Advise to candidates: It's probably a good idea to search out greener pastures.

Advice to Tempoe: Learn to communicate. Your failure at keeping candidates in the loop during the interview process prevents building trust.
