I have been working at TMC full-time (Less than a year)
I've been a TMC employee for only a short time, but I have been surprised by how welcoming they have been and how great the work environment is. They are dedicated to providing excellent care to all patients and ensuring their services are competitive and effective all while providing great training and benefits to their team members. They have a strong company philosophy that shines through everything they do, and I feel like I'm part of a company that really cares about my development as an employee. During tactical meetings each month, I have the chance to talk about my personal and professional development with my supervisor and get feedback on my responsibilities. It has been an excellent experience thus far, and I'm excited about the opportunity to grow with TMC.
While my experience has been very positive, I think it's important to learn as much as you can about TMC's philosophy and background once you start working. A lot of their company ideals come from leadership books and concepts, so it might be confusing for people who don't know those concepts yet. They have training videos that give some good base knowledge, but I still occasionally find things that I don't fully understand yet and definitely feel that reading some of those books would be beneficial. Luckily they do have a company library where you can borrow these books, so I think taking advantage of that would be very helpful.
Advice to Management
Keep providing that positive work environment for your team members and they will happily help you achieve your goals. Make sure you listen to the employee and former employee surveys to see where you can improve in terms of addressing team member concerns.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TMC (Southaven, MS) in August 2016.
The process is very streamline. They want to see if you are a good fit for the company, and if you know what therapy is really about, namely the patients.
