I have been working at TMC Transportation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You do not need to know the business before working here. I came in not knowing a single thing about logistics, and they took the time to teach me everything. Since then, I have moved up within the company. The culture here is wonderful, and it is a team environment. Everyone is super friendly and more than willing to help each other out. We are not micro-managed at all and there is a casual dress code. The base salary + commission is fantastic. Overall, the work I do feels rewarding and I really enjoy it.

    Cons

There is some cold calling for LSR’s just starting off. If you do not want to cold call, maybe this isn’t the job for you. I personally don’t have any complaints.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

    OTR Truck Driver Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TMC Transportation (Des Moines, IA) in August 2016.

    Interview

It's a week long orientation and interview, so they did good at weeding out drivers with poor attitudes or bad records. So it would be better to tell them up front about everything you can and then be prepared to spend a week under the microscope. Not really a personally interview where you are questioned directly

    Interview Questions

    • There really wasn't personal questions that you had to answer directly.   1 Answer
