In 1999, Nick Trentanelli hired in to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK as a mover. Last month, he officially became a franchisee after nearly two decades as a general manager.
Since the start of our business, more than 30 years ago, giving back has been close to our hearts. Fall campaigns provide our franchises a chance to make a difference and give back to the communities they live and operate in.
It all started as an after-school business for two high school boys. With a hand-drawn logo, advertisement in a local paper, and advertising fund stashed in a ceramic dish, the endeavor was never expected to be more than a local moving company.
Now, 30 years later, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has grown both domestically and internationally with more than 320 locations worldwide. In 2015, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will operate in 39 states with additional growth expected in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
We’re proud of the more than 60 consecutive months of growth, the completion of five million moves and counting, and the annual donation of $2.5 million in moving services. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is poised for long-term record success!

A leader in community service
Since 2009, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country have donated more than 74,476 hours of service to their communities. In 2014 alone, franchises donated $2,413,790 worth of moving services. With numbers like that, chances are good there is a truck out there right now adding to this impressive number.
The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system holds a long tradition of giving back to communities in which employees live and work. Giving back to the community has been a vital part of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system long before it was formalized as a core value. After our founder, Mary Ellen Sheets’ first year in business, she donated her profits to 10 different charities. It is this spirit that gives meaning to the company’s motto: “Movers Who Care®.”
Locations from across the country also donate countless hours to a variety of charities including Toys for Tots, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s own community support programs — Movers for Moms®, Movers for Military, Movers for Meals,Movers for Mutts, and Truckload of Warmth.
We continue to contribute to the American Cancer Society, the national charity of choice, by donating 10 cents of every move to the cause. Since 2001, we have raised more than $400,000, with the donated money benefiting local American Cancer Society programs in cities where franchises are located.
