Tacit Knowledge – Why Work For Us?

WHO WE ARE

why-we-different

Tacit Knowledge is a digital consultancy with roots in Silicon Valley.  Founded on the premise that talent and experience are key factors in project success, our approach has been to build a global team of highly vetted technologists that specialize in e-commerce.

Tacit Knowledge leverages Silicon Valley innovations to solve scaling and throughput issues prevalent in eCommerce solutions.

The result is in stark contrast to large agencies that scale with newly minted professionals and unpredictable outcomes.

Tacit Knowledge doesn’t offer a myriad of services or attempt to be all things to all people. We operate exclusively at the union of high tech and commerce. This relentless focus on consultative engineering and a core competency within a chosen vertical is our advantage.

WE CRAFT SOFTWARE

Quality software is a reflection of the people who create it. That’s why our clients call us and why we believe that good consulting engineers are hard to find and worth waiting for. Our teams work together to innovate and inspire.

We’re masters of our craft

Creating great software is a craft. We believe you’ll embrace this philosophy after working with us. We practice our craft everyday just like the best musicians in the world practice their craft everyday, because perfection is never achieved, but if you work at it, you all get pretty close and the results will be amazing. Working with that mindset enables us to architect and produce software solutions that meet the complex demands of our clients businesses.

We’re relentlessly focused

Tacit Knowledge doesn’t offer a laundry list of services nor are we a “sure we can do that” multi-service consultancy. We operate exclusively at the union of high tech and commerce with a relentless focus on consultative engineering.

We’re committed to delivering value

Our code is our word and we stand behind it 100%. Clients trust us with their business and any project we take on “small or large, straightforward or complex” is treated with the same dedication to delivering on our objectives. More often than not, clients hire us after working with another consultancy who, for various reasons, couldn’t deliver the goods as promised. Tacit Knowledge has a reputation for delivering and companies approach us because of it.

LIFE AT TACIT KNOWLEDGE

Our employees value continuous improvement, collaboration, humor and their weekends.

The work itself? Digital commerce is nascent, and we have the opportunity to define its future state. We’re doing this right now by working with industry-defining clients, creating patent-pending mobile technologies, building affiliate-oriented social networks and using Silicon Valley open-source like Cassandra, Hadoop, and MongoDB to enable high-scale commerce.

    Software Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in San Francisco, CA
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tacit Knowledge (San Francisco, CA) in September 2015.

    Interview

Recruiter based out of texas is NOT professional at all. I was asked questions totally unrelated to my job profile and there was needless curiosity in the other offer I had in hand, judging the company I had the offer in hand. This behavior is unacceptable. The interview overall was OK. The team is small and office space is good. Did not enjoy the day long interview process especially with one of the interviewers being over critical and judgmental.
