Mission: Taconic Biosciences, Inc. is committed to being the industry leader in providing the highest quality scientific services and rodent models to biomedical researchers worldwide.
I have been working at Taconic Biosciences full-time (More than 10 years)
Great people. There are many people working at Taconic globally that care very much about the work we do. The work is important. The benefits are very good. The pay is pretty good for this area.
Executive Leadership is a bit chaotic. There is an old and a new regime and they don't always get along. Communication is an issue. In some respects it has gotten better, just not good enough.
Advice to Management
Put aside the personal agendas and lead with a common goal, "What is best for Taconic's success?"
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Taconic Biosciences (Germantown, NY).
I had applied about 2 months before hearing back. First was a phone screen just asking about what you knew about the company and what you are looking for. I got scheduled then for an inperson interview the next week at the Germantown location. The interview was not formal and was very simple. I interviewed with the head embryology technician and also the supervisor. They both were very nice and explained all the details of the position. I was only asked a question about my previous work experience and if I was comfortable working with mice and rats. I was offered a position the next day. I had to decline the offer but the recruiter and people I interviewed with were very nice and it seems like a very pleasant work environment.
