I have been working at Talend full-time (More than a year)
Talend is in the early IPO stage and things are very exciting. We have a fast paced environment with very little to no hand holding. This creates a culture of creativity and accountability for all levels of employees. You have the opportunity to create, build, and own processes on a global scale and run with projects from the ground up.
The people who work here are smart and motivated.
Growing pains are a reality for all fast growing companies. Processes need to be built where there is nothing in place. New territories need to be broken into and many people have to wear many different hats that are not necessarily part of their job description. This can be tiring and frustrating but also exciting.
Advice to Management
Build onto a greater global Talend culture. Bring ALL employees together for Talend contests, events, and updates to make us feel more like a unified company. Your people are your greatest asset, help us to feel more connected with one another, especially remote employees.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Talend (Redwood City, CA) in November 2017.
The interview process consisted of 5 rounds... first one was with the recruiter; the second one was with the hiring manager... fairly technical and about past experiences; the third one was technical; the fourth one was a situation based interview and finally the fifth one was an onsite interview where I was asked to create and come prepared with a presentation that I had to present in front of a panel, also had a couple of one on one's. The whole process was rigorous and very well structured with an extremely helpful, amiable and polite recruiter who provided timely communication. I enjoyed the entire recruiting process.
