Executives that have an open door policy. Lots of lunch and learns which promotes understanding of what other departments are doing. Management that is willing to let you think outside the box. Flextime and a management team that allows flexibility when family issues arise.
Not enough resources to get us in a position to be proactive instead of being reactive.
Advice to Management
Take the time to speak with employees that are not Directors or Managers to find out how those managers are viewed by the employees. Have employees rate their managers and directors so you see the full picture of how your managers are doing.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Talisys in November 2011.
CSS did a phone screen with HR first, then another phone screen with hiring manager. Then I was brought in for a 7 hour interview! I met 12 different people. Overall, it wasn't as bad as it sounded.
