I worked at Tarmac full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Big stable company, appear to be busy on the face of it. Trying to become more people friendly. A way to go yet.

    Cons

Dumped for no apparent reason other than cronyism. The people in Tarmac are all fine, but some of the underhand moves are bad and devastate lives. Still a big corporate animal.

    Application

The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Tarmac (Buxton, East Midlands, England (UK)) in April 2017.

    Interview

    1) online application
    2) online test
    3) telephone interview
    4) assessment centre

The day start with a team work, and then technical interview and presentation for a manager and hr, lunch site tour and it ended with another team work.

They asked us to creat a presentation about university project. I was very confident and managed to impress the manager. I really enjoyed the technical interview.

The downside was that they don't pay for your travel.
