Business partners (and friends since high school) Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir founded TaskUs in 2008. Formerly a virtual personal assistant company, it quickly transformed into an international outsourcing organization that employs thousands of employees around the globe.
Based on their experiences with the Philippines, Maddock and Weir opened their first office in Manila in 2009. While working on the virtual assistant business, each quickly realized that the service they were offering to busy professionals was much more in demand for rapidly growing business. With a team in place and a new vision for changing the way work gets done, TaskUs was born.
It didn’t take long for the most innovative companies in the world to come knocking to seek out our unique focus on transformational growth and the entrepreneurial, creative spaces from which these businesses originate. Today, many of these companies trust us with their vital business processes so that they can concentrate on meaningful innovation.

The TaskUs Scholars Program was founded in 2012 to provide access to higher-quality private education for our Filipino employees’ children than is available through public school systems. In 2017, we awarded nearly 200 scholarships each worth approximately $1,100 U.S. This money pays for students’ tuition, classroom supplies, backpacks, and school books. We have doubled the number of scholarships granted annually since initiating the program.
TaskUs supports the next generation of young entrepreneurs in underserved communities through its involvement with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) organization. Founded in 1987, NFTE provides programs for and inspires students from low-income communities to stay in school, business skills training, personal development, and opportunities to train for a successful future.
The “TaskUs Gives Back!” program provides sustainable solutions to social challenges, lets employees identify with the public, and supports local initiatives. One recipient of this program is the Gawad Kalinga Orphanage, located in Bahay Kalinga, Philippines. As of July 2016, TaskUs’ investment has helped to enrich the lives of 27 orphans, through activities, medical, and learning programs. The program has plans to expand its reach to 40 children at this location.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TaskUs (Corpus Christi, TX) in April 2018.
Found multiple listing on Indeed.com for this company. That should have been the BIG CLUE. Put in my resume and app online. As part of it, had to take a typing test (!) and answer a bunch of pre-interview questions. Got a call the next day! BIG CLUE #2. Interviewer clearly did not have my information in front of her b/c she asked me several questions that I had detailed on my resume & the pre-interview questions I sent AND then continually sounded surprised at the responses I gave. I have a Master's and fourteen years experience and she offered me $14.00 per hour salaried. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? To relocate to San Antonio & live there, this company wants to pay $14.00 an hr. salary? I can make more than that entry-level at Buc-ee's! If you have a degree and any years of experience, don't waste your time applying here.
