Tax Analysts recently named a new CEO, Cara Griffith. Her unique combination of legal and editorial experience, along with great management acumen, can help do great things for Tax Analysts. Cara started at Tax Analysts as a reporter. She worked her way up to a legal editor, then management, and finally, occupied a seat on the organization's leadership team. She has demonstrated insight on the needs and future direction of Tax Analysts and has been a strong voice in developing and monitoring execution of the Tax Analysts strategic plan.
We offer a casual work environment — pet friendly and relaxed dress code — where talented individuals come together to produce great work. Our staff enjoys free covered parking, free coffee and tea, an exercise room onsite with showers, and a working environment that embraces team collaboration and innovation. At Tax Analysts you have the opportunity to pursue a fulfilling career and still have time for what's important to you personally, such as as family, travel, or giving back to the community.
Five Reasons to Join the Tax Analysts Team:
Initially, the organization pursued its mission through a diverse program of research, lobbying, litigation, and publishing. By the end of its first decade, however, Tax Analysts had become the nation's leading provider of unbiased tax information, with its publication serving as a forum for evenhanded debate of contentious policy issues.
Since then, we have used the Freedom of Information Act to force the IRS and state revenue departments to share with the public information about tax assessments and exemptions given in private decisions.
Tax Analysts is committed to discovering, disseminating, and debating ideas and information free from ideological agendas and special-interest lobbying.
We care about our community! A group of our employees have volunteered to form the Tax Analysts' Charitable Giving Committee. We strive to give back to those in need, our veterans, and even our 4-legged friends. Our dedicated committee works hard to coordinate efforts and our wonderful staff shows their support through donations of all kinds.

As part of the 2016 Tax Analysts' Holiday Party, we partnered with NVFS to help families who are in need of a helping hand this holiday season. Our generous staff brought gifts to the party and we even had a team member who won a 43" television as part of our raffle give-a-way donate his prize to NVFS -- we are so lucky to have a caring staff to support our caring culture.

I have been working at Tax Analysts full-time (More than 8 years)
Tax Analysts truly cares about it's staff. My experience here has been one consisting of developing great relationships with my coworkers, growing as a professional, having the flexibility to balance the demands in my personal life with those at work, ability to work from home on occasion, feeling supported by management, receiving recognition for a job well done, and feeling like I am contributing to something good.
There is nothing specific I can point out as a con for working here.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tax Analysts.
I had an interview with the hiring manager. Following the interview, I was given a copy editing test by HR staff.
I was not given specific feedback about my test results but was told (when I asked, not in a rejection letter) that my resume would be kept on file for a future opening. I hope to work there someday in the future.
