I have been working at TaxJar full-time
Fully remote work
Benefits and Perks
Incredibly smart leadership and coworkers
Immense growth potential
Everyone feels like an equal, the hierarchy of "executives" is visible but doesn't feel like anyone is higher up than anyone else. There are leaders and coaches but they are all easily accessible and helpful at anytime. This is rare and a wonderful trait of TaxJar.
The trial period can be hard if you have a full-time job; however they do a great job of letting you work when you can and understand the juggle of two jobs at once. Supervisors make themselves available outside of traditional working hours for questions and are there to help you along, not make you feel isolated. The trial has proven its value time and time again and is worth it to go through as well as have others go through. It gives you a great glimpse at what you're getting into and can help both sides decide if it's a great fit. I now am thankful I went through it. At what other companies do you actually have access to your team members, work on projects and attend meetings before you ever fully start? it made the transition to full-time employment that much easier.
None so far that are apparent.
Advice to Management
Continue to hire good people, protect and preserve the culture from the small days, continue to put employees first, continue to build a great product that solves customers' needs. Basically, just continue what you're doing!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TaxJar.
Didn't get an offer, but it was a positive experience. TaxJar seems like a cool place to work with smart, positive people. The process was fast with good communication.
The interview process started with a few phone screens, moved onto an hour-long technical "code challenge" with a Senior engineer, then an hour-ish long video call with the CTO.
