I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Team Car Care (New York, NY)
InterviewI had the pleasure of interviewing with the Director of TA, who just recently joined the company. As a tenured recruiter myself in various industries for nearly 2 decades, it was a breath of fresh air to have a conversation with someone as the same interview style as myself. Instead of the typical Q&A robotic approach, she opted into the more human approach so we could both get to know our communication style and thought process better. I myself use that same approach throughout my career for obvious reasons. She did not try to paint a pretty picture of the challenges TA has faced nor her expectations of her next hire. She also shared with me her leadership style and why she's chosen to be that way based on her previous experiences with other leaders throughout her career... which is always a win when you can learn how and how not to be for the sake of moral! I was chosen to move forward in the interview process and have a 2nd phone call with one of her Sr. Recruiters who shared his insight on the challenges regularly faced and company culture overall. Needless to say I was not ran off, as I enjoy facing hiring challenges in TA - and take solution oriented measures to overcome.
