I worked at Tech-Etch (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a good company with some good people. They fabricate interesting pieces for interesting customers. Good culture here. The company is structured nicely for its employees (employee owned).

    Cons

It's not the greatest in terms of working conditions. You will be exposed to unsafe chemicals, dangerously sharp sheet metal, potential chlorine leaks, and so on. That being said, just take safety training and protective wear very seriously... Oh, and read the MSDS's, of course!!!

    Advice to Management

Remember that you can derive quite a bit of value from your employees. Treat them well. Oh, and don't be afraid to take some risks. And don't put people through rites of passage. Don't be a jerk to the new guy. Foster good feelings and build good strong workplace culture the way George would/did.
