Contact manager was engaged with the employee as much as he could be in a contract situation. Randstad was helpful when the site client converted several of us to long term supplemental positions (LTS) [no longer working for Randstad]
1) In a contract situation, being able to award salary increases was very difficult. No real path to get a raise or promotion. A virtual promotion could be gained by taking on more responsibilities, yet no pay increase accompanied the extra effort. To be clear, no opportunities for advancement or pay increases were part of the original job description. 2) Randstad at one point had an on-line training portal available for employees
Advice to Management
Continue to advocate for your contact agents and employees. Buy them dinner once a year & talk to them once in a while.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Technisource (Greenville, SC) in April 2012.
All easy phone interviews. Mostly meet and greet. Very few technical questions.
I was not able to negotiate. It was a take it or leave it situation.
