Mission: Help our customers thrive by letting them focus on their businesses & organizations, not on telecom. Provide proven connectivity, cloud and continuity solutions, tailored to each customer’s needs. Keep it simple
TelePacific Communications announces the promotion of long-time industry leader Peter Berns to the newly created position of Director of Datacenter Operations. Berns had been the key technical subject matter expert for the provider's datacenter efforts. In his expanded role, he is responsible for all product strategy, pricing, sales support and data center operations, which includes service delivery and post installation support for this rapidly growing core area of TelePacific's business.
TelePacific Communications provides comprehensive connectivity, cloud and continuity solutions to 75,000 locations for customers ranging from small businesses to enterprises with hundreds of sites. The company owns and operates an extensive network, with 29 switches, including softswitch technologies, a MPLS IP network with CoS, 50,000 fiber strand miles, five SSAE-16 datacenters and colocations in more than 400 wire centers with Enhanced Ethernet over Copper.
Since it was founded in 1998, TelePacific has grown into the largest competitor to AT&T, Verizon and CenturyLink in California, expanded operations into Nevada and Texas, and extended its network reach nationwide and globally to serve multi-location customers all over the world. Ten years ago, TelePacific had 400 employees, 6,000 business customers and 100,000 business lines in service. Today, the company has 1,500 employees, tens of thousands of customers and more than 1.2 million lines in service.
Customer Service Differentiator.
TelePacific has a rich history of service excellence. President and CEO Richard Jalkut is renowned for maintaining the simple philosophy that the customer always comes first, a doctrine he has fostered over his 40-year telecom career. That core DNA is manifest in the consistently high customer care marks and metrics the company achieves in third-party surveys focusing on all touch points with customers including service installation, billing, repairs and customer interaction.

I have been working at TelePacific Communications full-time (Less than a year)
Great training and great products to sell. Moving towards managed service provider not so much telecom. Great strategy and great team for support.
There is no hand-holding here, you must learn quickly. It's sink or swim. If you do not have vendor relationships already established in the industry it will be a difficult road for you
Advice to Management
Raise salaries to be competitive with other managed service providers.
I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at TelePacific Communications (Las Vegas, NV) in October 2015.
Applied early Oct 2015, two week process. Phone screen on a Friday with HR: meet with hiring manager next Monday. "I'll send you an email confirmation with confirmation, address, details". Email never arrives. Phone messages to HR rep are unreturned. What kind of company bothers to screen employees, verbally schedule an interview, then completely blows off the candidate, wasting their time and yours? TelePacific Communicadtions, that's who. If you're doubting the negative reviews and feedback - wake up and smell the burnt coffee...
