Telecom Brokerage – Why Work For Us?

undefinedTBI entered the Master Agency business back in 1991 with a simple premise: To always remember that our partners are our customers.

We have worked with our partners as technology has evolved at an unprecedented pace. From a singular focus on providing the very best telecommunications services and contracts available, to offering a host of managed products and services delivered straight from the cloud.

We have striven always to deliver the type of white-glove service rarely found in the industry. To take the time to learn our partners’ businesses. To deal fairly and forthrightly. To provide genuine counsel instead of just quotes.

That’s why, time and again, our partners tell me that the TBI team is the most knowledgeable and most responsive group of professionals they have ever done business with.

If you are an existing partner, my sincere thanks. Your trust in us has fueled the consistent growth we’ve experienced over the past two-and-a-half decades. Growth for which we’re profoundly grateful. Please know we will never forget that we work for you.

If you are a prospective partner just exploring the distribution landscape, we hope you’ll provide us an opportunity to tell you a little bit more about our company – and, more importantly, how we can work with you to bring your business a greater level of success.

We serve our partners well so that they can serve their customers well.

That’s why we’re in business. That’s what makes us TBI.

I have been working at Telecom Brokerage full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

TBI has done an excellent job in bringing in entry-level employees in all departments (sales, support, commissions, marketing, HR, IT) and setting the expectation of what is needed from them to advance their careers. Every department has multiple layers of responsibility and management and its how we have been able to grow to the size we are today. Middle-management is the key to any companies growth and we promote that concept starting with the interview process AND beyond. It's great to know you are working towards a common goal and have visibility/transparency in your careers progress.

    Cons

Career-pathing takes time, dedication, and a lot of extra work. You have to stand out from your peers who are trying to accomplish the same things you are. It takes hard work and some people are simply not up for that challenge. Or they are up for the challenge, but want results right away. That's unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

continue making new career paths for your employees. Like the owner likes to say, "TBI is your start in technology solution sales". The candidates takes the first step by applying. It's on TBI to guide that employee towards the next measurable goal and accomplishment. Keep focusing on advancing your employees!

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Telecom Brokerage (Chicago, IL).

    Interview

TBI's interview process was professional and timely in their response and decision making process. Each person I encountered was well informed and answered each question I had. I would definitely recommend this company to others looking for not only employment but a place where they know your name!
