Tenet Healthcare – Why Work For Us?

Healthcare is Changing.
We're Changing It for the Better.

At Tenet Healthcare, we’ve had a longstanding commitment to serving our patients, employees, physicians and partners.

Today, we’re a leading healthcare services company working across the system to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

We’re all united around a common mission — to help people live happier, healthier lives.

  • 68 hospitals
  • 21 short-stay surgical hospitals
  • ~460 outpatient centers
  • 115,000+ employees

Through our values of quality, integrity, service, innovation and transparency, Tenet is a disciplined operating company uniquely positioned for growth.

Since 2003, Tenet's Commitment to Quality has improved the quality of medical care and patient safety at its hospitals and other businesses by evaluating processes and promoting best practices. As the world in which Tenet operates continues to change, Tenet's Commitment to Quality will remain focused on quality, the growing quality gap relative to top performers in the industry, and the fact that payers and employees use quality as a distinguishing factor.

Tenet has taken the lead in addressing the needs of the uninsured through its Compact With Uninsured Patients. Established in 2003, the Compact focuses on treating patients without insurance fairly and with respect during and after their treatment, regardless of their ability to pay. Tenet also is committed to working with its patients through financial counseling and alternative payment options.

We are a strong network of over 65 coordinated hospitals with the goal to uphold the highest standards when it comes to quality and safety:

A Company Built on Core Principles

Tenet is committed to the education, recruitment and retention of our nursing staff. Whether you are a seasoned nursing professional or just out of school, we provide benefits to help you learn and grow.

Versant RN Residency

At many Tenet hospitals, the Versant™ RN Residency helps ease the transition from student to nurse and improves the experience of first-year nurses. The 18-week program better prepares new graduate nurses for their first jobs through training that includes:

  • Instructor-led courses featuring current and emerging clinical guidelines and standards;
  • Clinical preceptors who provide personalized bedside training;
  • Debriefing sessions that offer a forum for exchange among participants;
  • Mentors who provide personal support and career development guidance; and
  • A Web-based tool to monitor participants' progress and track competencies.

Allied Health Professionals

At Tenet, we know that Allied Health Professionals play an indispensable role in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. That's why we treat all of our professionals with the respect they deserve. No matter which Tenet hospital you choose nationwide, you'll find an atmosphere dedicated to interdisciplinary medicine where colleagues from all professions respect your contribution.

Imaging & Radiology Technicians

Tenet recognizes that in the changing fields of imaging and radiology it's important to stay current with trends, equipment and technology. We expect our imaging and radiology technicians to produce high quality images, provide quality customer service and exhibit a strong work ethic and team spirit in an environment where cross-training and professional growth is encouraged

Laboratory & Clinical Technologists

At Tenet, we look to hire individuals who strive to provide quality heath care through cooperation and collaboration in a compassionate, friendly and healing environment. Our technologists use some of the latest technology and procedures to provide a continuum of patient care and services.

Therapy and Rehabilitation

Tenet recognizes that care doesn't end when the patient is out of the operating room. Our therapy and rehabilitation professionals play an important role in our patients' lives. Tenet hospitals' rehabilitation units are devoted to therapy-supported recovery, including comprehensive rehabilitation with a focus on physical, occupational, respiratory, radiation, home health and speech therapies.

    Approves of CEO

    I have been working at Tenet Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    CEO is transparent and Co-workers are collaborative. Heavy focus on doing the right thing for the communities we serve. There is never a meeting that we aren’t reminded we are here for the patients we care for.

    Still some employees who focus on the old regime without being able to move forward.
