I have been working at Tennessee Department of Children's Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility, you make your own schedule, have the opportunity to work from home (but must be very disciplined) to be productive at home.

    Cons

Very stressful. Don’t feel supported from leadership. Very tedious work, a lot of unnecessary work. Very unorganized. Very difficult to have a work life balance, they say that the work from home option is to help with stress and self care but it really doesn’t make a difference because you still may have to come into the office or go to court. The work is never ending, be prepared to bring work home on the daily. The job will mentally and emotionally take a toll on you. I can see why it’s a high turnover rate.
