About 45 employees volunteered at TAC's first Day of Service in September 2022. The initiative was created and led by TAC's Volunteerism committee -- one of 3 employee-led committees that support employees' wellbeing and our workplace culture. We partnered with Community First! Village, a nonprofit in Travis County that provides permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness. https://youtu.be/Ng9eLjFV9LI

The health and safety of employees and visitors is TAC's priority. TAC’s 6' Together protocol prioritizes the safety and social well-being of TAC staff and aligns with current guidance from national and international health and safety authorities. The plan includes social distancing requirements, as well as face covering requirements when moving around the building or within common areas. It also includes a color-coded building occupancy system that limits access to TAC’s headquarters based on the local public health situation and level of risk for employees. Except for a small number of employees, most of the TAC team has been able to work remotely since the pandemic began.
