Pros
Since joining TextUs as a Junior UX Designer in the Fall of 2021, both the company and I have experienced remarkable growth. TextUs excels in several key areas, including maintaining a healthy remote work-life balance, embracing a user-centered design philosophy, fostering a culture of product innovation, boasting exceptional marketing and sales teams, and providing ample career advancement opportunities. Having worked at several tech companies of a similar size, I can confidently say that TextUs gets everything right. My journey as a Product Designer wouldn't be the same without the support of these brilliant individuals and this powerful product.
Cons
The so-called 'cons' are rather subjective. While one could argue for more company offsites, we already have two fantastic events in Denver during the Summer and Winter that bring everyone together led by HR. Additionally, depending on your team, there may be opportunities for strategic quarterly offsite collaboration to address team needs. Personally, I'd love to have more face-to-face interaction with this talented group of individuals, but this is more a matter of personal preference. When it comes to the day-to-day work as a Product Designer, I can confidently say there are no drawbacks or downsides.
