At Vivial we love small business – after all, they are the lifeblood of the local community and the U.S. economy. But we consider ourselves more than just business partners. We work hand-in-hand with local businesses to foster community involvement and help maintain a healthy environment.
As a directory publisher, we are committed to raising awareness about sustainability and protecting the local environment. It’s very important to us that our phone directories are published, distributed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. We seek to minimize our environmental impact while continuing to meet the needs of the businesses and communities we serve.
In 2011, Vivial won the prestigious national Communitas Award for “Green Initiatives” for our directory recycling program.
We’re always on the lookout for smart and motivated salespeople, account reps, developers, engineers, and the all-important support positions to keep our customers delighted with Vivial. If you excel at these, or other roles, by all means get in touch with us.
In addition to a stimulating and fun work environment, we offer a comprehensive benefits and compensation plan, with great medical and dental coverage, plus an impressive 401(k) program. I worked at The Berry Company (More than 3 years)
-Decent Commission Structure
-Good Car Allowance
-Good 401k match
-Lots of Travel and Time away from home
-Very Low Base Pay for amount of travel
-Never receive any raise on base pay (if I did I would have never left)
-Company wants to push LocalVox in markets where it doesn't make sense
Advice to Management
Listen to the reps and managers who have worked the markets for the past 4-5 years. In some of the southern rural markets, online content management for several hundred dollars per month is not going to sell when you can barely even get a cell phone signal there.
Pay premise reps a base pay comparable to what competitors are paying. I was able to more than double my base pay when I left and I am no longer traveling 85% of the time away from home.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Berry Company.
It was very thorough. Started with a phone interview, then an in-person interview. I did a mock sales pitch during the interview, that was fun. The folks who interviewed me were not interrogative or off-putting, it was very easy to come in and have a conversation with them.
