I have been working at The Business and Technology Resource Group full-time (More than 5 years)
As most of the reviews have stated the people are great. There is a good team dynamic and a lot of support amongst your colleagues. The culture encourages ideas and entrepreneurial pursuits. I also think the past year has shown that senior management is responding to feedback. Sometimes slowly, but the direction is positive.
Compared to other consulting firms I have worked with there are not a lot of cons. I truly enjoy working here. If your ideas are good, fight for them and people will listen.
Advice to Management
At times the management structure seems a little confusing with multiple marching orders and status requests. Respect the hierarchy you established and trust that managers, admin staff and consultants will do the right thing.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Business and Technology Resource Group (Chantilly, VA).
I had an initial phone interview with a recruiter. My second interview was part in person and part video skype. I came to the local office where I met with the Practice Director. The two of us skyped with the CFO. It was a straightforward situational based interview. A hiring decision was made within a few days.
It is going to be a busy week at our Chantilly office. We have a couple of new hires starting, our CEO and some of the Directors all coming in for planning sessions. Luckily we just hung up the final TV in our rec room!
This is our first company update so we wanted to start out by welcoming you to our page. We hope it provides you a snapshot of our culture and values and we welcome your feedback. More posts will follow... Thanks!
