I worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints full-time (More than a year)
Their organizational goals line up very well with ones eternal goals. It felt fantastic saying prayers and inviting the inspiration and revelation of God to join us. The spirit led us.
Politics for Power. Vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness... the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man.
Advice to Management
Take your employees to the temple. Treat them as equals and listen to them.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Salt Lake City, UT) in November 2017.
Applied online, got called in shortly after. The first interview went without a hitch, I interviewed with two different branches and got a call back for the final interview a week later. This one, I never got a confirmation email, and had to register on site as a visitor. This was after contacting the HR Rep about whether I was actually going or not. When I got there, neither the hiring manager or the actual manager bothered to show up or even reach out to me about their absence. A high level C executive came and interviewed me solo for a position he knew little about, and a department he wasn't even in charge of. He asked me three questions, I asked him three, and left after it was clear that neither of the managers were going to show up. Got a rejection letter two days later.
