I have been working at The Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland full-time
- Benefits (very generous time off) - Not everyone can say this but at least my supervisor allows me a lot of autonomy.
- Salary is low and I haven't had a raise in over two years even though my evaluations have been solid. - New leadership doesn't communicate very well. Most employees have no idea what is going on with the organization. - How some people get hired for positions is quite interesting as well as the salary some make versus others. - Very bureaucratic; for an organization with only 50-60 employees, it feels so much bigger unnecessarily.
Advice to Management
I don't have any advice because management doesn't seem to listen to employees.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at The Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland (Lakeland, FL).
Panel interview with two directors and one manager. They all took turns asking questions that were fairly standard. After the interview, I was asked to take a series of tests (none had anything to do with my job). Things dragged along but finally got the offer after a couple of months.
