Company Updates

  • Digital branding is a an advanced discipline of design for creating visual and emotional aspects across a company's entire digital platform. Digital branding is the art of building company assets that define the intentions, the culture and expected customer experiences.

"We believe that digital branding from TIP should make real human connections with customers and create experiences that build emotional ties," says Steven Mills, Digital Brand Designer with TIP. "Our level of digital branding is way beyond a logo. We build strategy, purpose, emotion, consistency and depth into our client brands so they can live across multichannel digital assets."

Digital branding introduces transparency to building new customer relationships online and offline. "Now introduce the digital transformation concept to companies and the top priority with the transformation is to create stronger customer experiences and relationships with the brand across every aspect of a business' transformation," adds Mills.

Digital branding encompasses people, process and platforms. It's where we thrive.

  • Digital transformation is no longer just a buzz word in the IT department. And the goal is not central to just introduce digital tools, but to stimulate company growth and focus on stronger customer experiences.

"Digital transformation clients that we work with have goals of transforming traditional business processes to innovative ones fueled by digital technologies and new processes to remain competitive," says Jay Joyce with The Idea People. "The end goal is to create new economic value for our client's customers and to embrace new technologies that customers use on other platforms."

As a digital transformation agency (DTA), TIP is uniquely positioned to introduce strategy, process, technology and managed marketing to adopt new customers across multiple channels.

True transformation begins with the CEO and business owner because they are tasked with business growth and competitive positioning.

There is definite magic when a group of like-minded people gets together to produce work at a high level. We're believers in the 80/20 rule...we organize and work to realize 80% of our results from 20% of our effort. The other way around is the definition of insanity.

Awesome team experiences include:

  • Terrific salary – we pay great salaries for great people.
  • Full health insurance – we pay 100% of your health insurance.
  • Paid vacations from Day 1 – you get 12 paid days off every year to clear your mind and stretch your limbs. But wait...that's not all.
  • Multiple company vacation days – let’s say that we like to take time off as a company throughout the year. Like we close from Christmas through New Year’s and several other times during the year plus the week of July 4th. What? More?
  • Plus company-paid holidays too.
  • Work-Life balance is tilted in your favor – with all of these days off, who wouldn’t be happy?
  • Plus we keep our work within normal reasonable hours from Monday to Friday.
  • Eating. Well, we love to eat. We're usually out for a team lunch every 2 weeks on the company's tab.

  • A new Mac laptop for you – hey, we’re creative and techy. We love new technology, new platforms, new tools, and new shiny things.
  • Standing, sitting, perching and lounging workspace – we just bought all new workspace furnishings, gizmos, and tech.
  • Gorgeous modern loft offices – we’re in the Carolina School Supply Building just 2 blocks from the stadium. We’re so close that we can hear Sir Purr purr.
  • Winning culture – we’re 25 years old and we love to win. We’re quirky, funny, amazing and talented. Our clients love us.
  • Grow into digital transformation – yep, it’s the next big thing and we’re ahead of the pack by a long shot. Learn first-hand as our clients do. Exciting.
  • Supportive and caring team – we hope that you will like working with us as much as we like working with us.
  • Continued learning – we encourage you to grow your career, so we’ll pay for you to learn new things that we all want to do.
  • Mentoring – our senior people know a thing or two about a thing or two.
  • We’ll empower you to move out of your comfort zone so you can grow to be a part of the “Top 10% of Achievers.”

We like people who can contribute to our team and who like to win with project work and clients.

We love talented people with deep expertise. Smart and witty. Can crack a joke and hold a conversation.

Do you have a unique combination of skills, like software engineering and design? Or digital marketing and quality assurance? You're speaking our language.

Our culture is open, collaborative and transparent...where everyone is truly a friend with everyone else. There are no politics, no egos, and no guff. We have built a unique culture at The Idea People and we only fuel it with the right blend of skillsets, personality, and career goals.

We have values that we live by and work by. Our values represent how we partner with clients and each other.

  • We tell the truth, we keep our promises.
  • We are helpful.
  • We are curious.
  • We’re adaptable.
  • We’re fueled by challenge.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at The Idea People full-time (More than 5 years)

I've genuinely enjoyed working with everyone at TIP for the past 5 years that I've had the privilege to work here.

The office is pretty open minded, we get to socialize throughout the day, have weekly lunch outings and get a lot more days off per year than what the actual employee handbook might state. It's always positive vibes in the office.

They invest into you and the company. They believe in your work, to the point I've explored avenues of creativity that I'd never had gone down if I wasn't working here.

Which has pushed me in my career to where I want to be (and still going). They pay your worth and more, the pay raises are frequent and your hard work doesn't go unseen, rewards are a huge factor.

    Weekly lunches.
Time off around the holidays and extra time off.
    Full health insurance.
Newest technology when you ask for it.
Ability to move around the office as much as you'd like.
    The pay is great.
They encourage you to step up, speak out and be heard.

In the creative department of TIP, I can't really say much for cons, it runs smoothly.
We could have better systems in place for the creative side of things (we're working on that now), but I feel like thats something thats forever growing, expanding and being reimplemented. I know sometimes deadlines get tight, but thats just the nature of the beast for the field that we all work in.

    Advice to Management

You guys have made me apart of the company, I feel as if I'm speaking to myself in this section. The experience, opportunity and encouragement over the years that you guys have given to me has been life changing and one hell of an enjoyable ride. You've let me take a huge role in this company and I am forever grateful, let's just keep winning and producing grade-A work, it's what we're best at when we all come together.
