I worked at The Jewish Guild for the Blind full-time

The benefits for a clerical staff are pretty impressive as entry level. The growth is not impossible should you perform exceptionally well. Unionized position and pretty standard increases, employer contribution to retirement plan and they do offer a amazing medical coverage options, mines for example i paid no premiums into! Please note this company has changed their name to "lighthouse guild international"

union is not as strong as it boasts, other departments are favored as well as other titles are more favored, its the prime example of he ones who have been there for years do minimal work and other pick up the slack, have i mentioned the chronic "favorite worker" a lot of people get away with things for the seniority and the kissing up to management. restructuring to pilot programs saw the best opportunity to kindly dump employees and not offer a comprehensive severance package. alot of newer positions open up on a "need to know basis".

    Advice to Management

certain supervisors should not be in place as supervisors to begin with, they merely do not posses the correct skill set to perform as one. Also regardless of employees time working at company if they do not perform well they under no circumstance be kept. listen well to your exceptional employees they have valuable ideas and contributions.
