Advice to Management
Improve effective training for those in management positions.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Nature's Bounty Co. (Boca Raton, FL) in May 2017.
I applied via LinkedIn. I was contacted almost immediately by an HR rep to set up an initial phone screen. That went well, and I my information was passed along to the hiring manager. After juggling some dates and times, the interview was set. The Hiring manager was knowledgeable, up front and direct. Much like my personality. Needless to say, the interview, on my side appeared to go well. I was told I would hear back from him. The HR rep was good on his promise to keep me informed of the progress. He contacted each week with updates.
I can honestly say that this is a very rare trait in today’s corporate America to actually follow through with potential candidates as how to the interview process is actually going.
Unfortunately, he delivered bad news. Apparently, the hiring manager was not moving forward with my candidacy due to my “focus on CRO manufacturing or contract manufacturing” which is a lame excuse. In fact, that should have enhanced my experience in his particular plant environment. So who really knows the exact reasoning, but to at least get some honest feedback from the corporate recruiter is refreshing.
After our last conversation, I was sent a LinkedIn invite by the corporate recruiter which is usually a good sign that there was nothing negative said about my interview.
