I worked at The Rainier Club (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management is very flexible and takes care of you when you are in the inner circle. Free employee meals are daily and therefore makes for a great college job.

    Cons

Members can be pretentious. Other members can be awesome. You are tied to the desk and can't leave unless someone can sit at the front desk to give you a break (even restroom break). COO can be a little distant from low level employees.

    Advice to Management

Be closer linked to the lowest level of employees.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Rainier Club (Seattle, WA) in December 2011.

    Interview

I applied online from an ad at my school's career page for part-time work. Spoke with management on the phone, came down the next day for interview as they were hiring for their holiday season.

    Interview Questions

    • I don't remember any particular questions but they basically wanted to see if I was capable of working and presentable to their guests. They also asked if I was willing to work Overtime and Holidays.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

There was none, the wage was set for all new staff.
