I worked at The Salem Group full-time (More than 3 years)
Salem offered a lot of sales training. Large sales territories, and they already had a good client base of companies that they worked with. They have been in business for a long time, which helped when making calls into organizations... the name was already a familiar one. Good reputation in the industry.
Making B2B cold calls can be difficult, in general. The sales cycle is longer than some other organizations'. However, Salem has a really supportive environment, so I felt like I was able to succeed, despite the more complex sale.
Advice to Management
Continue to offer regular sales training. The "boot camps" were really effective.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Salem Group.
You will go through an in depth interview in a Salem office. Also, you will be asked to take some tests to confirm your skill level. You will spend a couple of hours in their office. I was able to fill out my application in advance which saved me some time. Very nice and conversational interview approach although it is lengthy.
