Pros

- Growing exponentially into larger and larger projects with more exceptional personnel as time progresses - Provides substantial freedom to manage your schedule and maximize your efficiency and

Cons

- More workplace gathering events would be great, although COVID caused the frequency to decline

- Sometimes project staffing is lean but that has also been improving as of late

Advice to Management

My advice is to continue finding great talent to fill out the ranks. Peter and Steve have been phenomenal mentors. Keep the open door mentality where anyone can go and pick your brains for experience

I applied online. I interviewed at The UIP Companies (Washington, DC) in Apr 2020

    Interview

Interview process is very laid back. Upper management wants to get to know you as a person, while asking what skills you can bring to the company and why you would be a good fit.

We are proud to announce the selection of UIP’s apartment community, Boathouse, as the recipient of the 2021 Multifamily Executive Award for Adaptive Reuse. Originally constructed as a Howard Johnson’s hotel in the 1960s, UIP transformed the property and created a new rental community in the midst of Foggy Bottom, across from the Watergate, delivered in September 2020. Take a look at the exciting creativity that goes into such a project, a hallmark of all UIP’s ventures and who we are and how we work!

UIP partners with WhyHotel to operate units in the Kiley, it’s newest 315-unit building that just began leasing in Washington D.C.’s Capital Riverfront neighborhood. This unique partnership creates a win-win for all: it provides access to short-term rentals in the market and creates energy and interest when a building is in a lease-up mode. Find out more about this state-of-the-art concept in Multi-Housing News.
